4TH of JULY in Los Angeles
I'm in L.A. with my Czech family right now which means I get to be in America for the 4th of July which happens to be my second favorite holiday. (Insert happy dance).
The backyard of the house we are staying in has a great view of the Hollywood hills.
I made sure to buy American flag clothing for everyone to wear.
We spent a fun day at the pool
with red, white, and balloon fun.
William is the new grill master and cooked up a yummy BBQ feast.
We ate and listened to some patriotic music.
Then around 8:30PM, fireworks started going off like crazy all across the valley.
I wish you could see the fireworks in this picture better. It was amazing. I have never seen so many firework displays going off at one time all throughout L.A.
We had a great view on top of Mulholland Drive.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, AMERICA!

JULY 4
I have missed a handful of 4th of July celebrations over the last 8 years so you can imagine how excited I was to be in America for this year's festivities.
Day-Z was super excited too.
The city of Provo celebrates with amazing events for days leading up to the fourth.
They launch hot air balloons in the morning,
had WWII Candy Bomber hero do his final candy drop for the children over Scera Park,
parades, rooftop concerts, contests, carnivals, and the finale event
the Stadium of Fire.
This event was full of cool dancers,
diet coke and mentos explosion shows,
a concert by Journey,
and, of course,
lots of amazing fireworks.
There ain't no doubt I love this land!
Happy birthday, America.

LOVING MY AMERICA
The 4th of July is my second favorite holiday. I have been out of the country for several years and haven't enjoyed it, but this year the holiday was all mine!
The hot air balloon fest was cancelled due to weather. So I went to the Freedom Festival Parade in Provo.
Next, headed to Krispy Kreme for some patriotic star breakfast.
Third, I went to the Scera Park for the Colonial Festival. It was a fun event set up for visitors to know what life was like way back when.
Learned all about the Constitution.
We also learned about what it's like to be an immigrant in the US.
To end the night, we were stuck in 1.5 hours of traffic after enjoying fireworks at Sugarhouse Park.
SO grateful for our country!
