In honor of Disney's Cinderella Diamond Edition 3-Disc Blu-ray combo pack being released on October 2nd,  we were invited to a special screening of the original animated masterpiece (digitally restored and re-mastered) on the big screen.

Girls day out!

When was the last time you went to the circus?
For me, I'm pretty sure it was 1997 with my best pal Danae.
Let's just say it was much needed.
My buddy Torsten invited me and we met some other friends for the greatest show on Earth.
Full of:
 Asian acrobats and tricksters
 crazy gymnasts and horse riders

8 motorcycles in the cage of death
a fake dragon (the dragon inside of you blah blah blah)
 midget clown
 trapeze artists
fancy dogs
(our take on the fancy dog show)
and overpriced circus food/souvenirs.

Today is Talk Like A Pirate Day.
If you go to Krispy Kreme Donuts and talk like a pirate, you get a free donut.
If you go there dressed like a pirate, you get a free dozen.
Think we participated?

Of course we did, matey. 3 dozen...we get AARGHS!

I thought it would be a treat to take my mom's cat for a ride and let it experience some fresh canyon air. I discovered cats don't like car rides like dogs do.
He sat with his mouth like this the entire trip.
Until he started doing this...
Other than the cat meltdown, the drive was fantastic.
I simply cannot get enough of the colors in the canyon here in Utah.

I made it back to Utah in time for the State Fair. It's my favorite time of the year.
This is Cedar, the ginormous Brown Swiss steer. He stands 5'11" at the shoulders and weighs 2920 lbs. Don't mess with Cedar.
And I thought it was funny to see sleeping horses...
Mmmm...Brandon likes pigs in a blanket.

I simply love the German language. Maybe it's because everything sounds so funny. I seriously walk around like a giddy little teenage boy when I imagine the pronunciation.

How charming is the city of Freiberg, Germany? On a scale of 1-5, I'd give it a fünf.

I'm not sure what the green & white banners are for, but they were all over the city.

Even the cemeteries were cute (is that possible?)

Not sure what this was, but I just loved the area.

cute little window flower box decorations
I read the city has a big solar panel plant
 modern art in a cathedral

 tallest spire in the city
Canals that run along the city in a gorgeous park
Of course, I enjoyed a bretzel (or two) while I was there.

Not a very big place, but definitely charming enough for a nice day visit.
It was a very grey, but wonderful day.
