LIVE FRUITFULLY

Since my dog's car accident, I have been trying hard to make sure she eats a proper diet to keep her  eye strong. Daily, she does puzzles and we play frisbee in the yard to make sure she stays healthy mentally AND physically as well. Since this is a priority for me and constantly on my mind, I asked what do I do that is better for ME? One thing I like is to get my fruits & veggies (with no artificial preservatives) by enjoying a Jamba Juice Orange Carrot Karma Smoothie. It's full of antioxidants and vitamins my body needs and tastes super delicious at the same time.
Day-Z and I both live fruitfully with our Jamba goods.

EUREKA! We made it to Arkansas

We had a day with no tickets to any shows while in Branson, so we decided to go for a drive. We ended up in Eureka Springs, AR.
It's really a cute little town with healing springs that you can immerse yourself in. Loved it.
Along the way we discovered these Gems:
 Ozark Jesus
I've never been to Rio, but I have been to Arkansas!
Apparently, this is where The Great Passion Play takes place. I guess it brings thousands of people to Eureka Springs each year and the money earned is how the little town survives.
At the play site are interesting things like an actual piece of the Berlin Wall

 and this magical stone
We also saw the world's largest tuned musical wind chime
And the Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge where they have tons of big exotic cats that you can get pretty darn close to.
Who'd have thought Arkansas had so much to offer?!

BRANSON, MO...

...it's like Vegas for old people!
We arrived at probably the smallest and most adorable airport I've seen in the states in Branson.
The 5 & 10 is the local cool shopping spot
(it was almost impossible to find my first real 6 string)
Local fashion
local eats  - Andy's Frozen Custard
The coolest looking museum I've ever seen
(dedicated to the Titanic, of course)
went to a few shows: SIX (a capella group kinda like Rockapella)
& Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede dinner show (totally worth it - good food you eat with your hands, audience participation, and very entertaining)
Stopped at the local Aquarium
It's small, but super awesome! The staff love their jobs and you get hands on experiences with animals.
My mom wasn't keen on touching the rays and sharks
rare singing dogs
and they even have mini golf (you'll literally see a different mini golf course on every other street...they are built like Mormon churches in Utah County)
We also went on some overpriced zip line ride (unless you've never been on a zip line before).
I say it's like Vegas for old people because the city starts late, then after lunch takes a nap, and the shows all end around 10pm. It's also a bit of  a time share trap. If you have the option of splitting the cost of accommodation, food, or shows, don't choose the shows...they are pricy. You can go listen to a "not a timeshare" presentation and get discount tickets...just depends on if you don't mind wasting 90 minutes of your day.
Also, we didn't go to the amusement park, but I did park and ride the free shuttle to the main entrance and if we had more time there, I would've gone in for the afternoon. Visit Branson.

STORE RETURN POLICY

Rushing in to the store to make a return with only the item, my store card used for the original purchase of item, and receipt, I was denied the opportunity to make the simple return. My purpose of only taking those 3 items in with me was so I wouldn't purchase anything else. I was planning on going in and out of the store as quickly as possible. The cashier told me I could not make a return without my ID. She told me it was for my own safety that she wouldn't let me make the return that way.

Dear Store Policy and employees who follow it,
If someone wants to fraudulently return things to my credit card account, leaving me with more money to spend and them with nothing, then they are stupid and you have my permission to let them do so. I have no problem with that. On the other hand, almost EVERY TIME I make a credit card purchase in your store I have NOT been asked to show ANY form of identification (on purchases ranging in price from $2-$100+). Maybe you need to rethink that store policy.

PinkBlush Maternity Clothes GIVEAWAY

I'm not a mom. I babysit other people's kids. I'm ok with that.
But I feel like I have gained a deeper love from owning a dog (and having her get hurt in her car accident). It's been good for me.

A mother's love is something
that no one can explain--
It is made of deep devotion
and of sacrifice and pain.
It is endless and unselfish
and enduring, come what may,
For nothing can destroy it
or take that love away.
It is patient and forgiving
when all others are forsaking,
And it never fails or falters
even though the heart is breaking.
It believes beyond believing
when the world around condemns,
And it glows with all the beauty
of the rarest, brightest gems.
It is far beyond defining,
it defies all explanation,
And it still remains a secret
like the mysteries of creation--
A many-splendored miracle
man cannot understand
And another wonderous evidence
of God's tender, guiding hand.
