The Year Santa Lost His List BOOK REVIEW

Who is excited about the Christmas holiday season coming soon? Christmas is my favorite holiday. One of my most memorable family memories is reading Christmas story books together as a family. We would all gather together around the tree in our new sets of pajamas and listen as my Dad read out loud a story to us. There was never anything too important to interrupt our story time.We completely disconnected from outside sources and spent quality family time together. Does your family have any holiday traditions that hold a special place in your heart?
If you are like us, and are looking for a new holiday book this year, I have a great recommendation. For young readers, I cannot say any bad things about The Year Santa Lost His List.
It is a super fun story with easy words to read and bright illustrations that will keep your young readers (heck, even the older readers) entertained. It might be fun for family members to pass the book around and all take turns reading out loud. This book is perfect for that idea.
The Year Santa Lost His List also has a great meaning in the story that will make your heart smile.
Santa loses his list before Christmas. He is getting his sleigh ready when a big gust of wind blows his list out of his hands. Will he be able to give the correct gifts to right children? He delivered ice skates to Julie, who always wanted to be an artist. Noah, who was totally into playing baseball, received a guitar and microphone. Can the disaster be reconciled and everyone be happy or could this possibly be the worst Christmas mix up ever?
Of course, you know I'm not going to tell you the answer. You have to read the story and find out for yourself.
This book was published in October 2016. It is the author's second book. Look for it on Amazon and it to your library this holiday season.

I received this book at a discounted price in return for my honest opinion.
I gave this book to my younger nieces and nephews who love Christmas. They enjoyed the book and have probably read it 29 times already in one week. It is great for young readers with clear text and bright illustrations to keep their interest. The book has just the perfect amount of pages to read. This will definitely be a book that gets read by the entire family every year at Christmas holiday times. Check it out to see if Santa finds his list and can deliver the right presents to all of the children.

BABY SHOWER ITEMS

Remember how I recently posted that more babies are born in the month of August than any other month? It's still true. So that means lady readers might be invited to some baby showers in the coming months. What do you buy as a present? Here are some ideas:
#1 Baby Gift Set - Plush Chihuahua
So you were invited to a party and you don't have time to shop and wrap a gift (or you just need a totally cute, hassle-free present full of baby shower items). Well, this is your solution. This baby set includes a plush and snuggle webkinz dog, yellow terrycloth baby bib (with "Mommy's little Angel" embroidered on it), and a yellow and white 30"x30" plush baby blanket and it comes with a green gift bag (with a picture of an expecting mother wearing a pink dress on the bag and matching attached card) and yellow tissue paper. #babyshoweritems

The Mamaway ring sling is an all-around baby carrier that is perfect for your newborn babe. It is made of 100% cotton fabric that provides full support once tightened. You can position your baby whichever way is most comfortable or convenient: upright or lying down, in front, on your hip or behind your back so you can have hands-free cuddles or be able to do things while keeping your baby close. This can also be used to cover baby for feeding so mama and baby can bond with some privacy. It weighs 14.4 oz and is machine washable so it is super easy to care for this product. It is also easy to store in it's own little attached pocket. You will be so happy with this purchase.

#3 Berlando Baby Blanket

This blanket is perfect for baby boy. It comes in a blue, grey, and white chevron print on one side and plain white on the other. It is 32x26 inches and is made of 100% microfiber polyester. Every baby needs a good pinky blanket to use in the stroller, to swaddle, cuddle, use when travel, or just carry everywhere. This is super high quality, soft, and snuggly. (I secretly want one in my size). It is also machine washable!! #berlando

The bibs are made of 100% soft cotton and are adjustable (with snaps) to fit a neck circumstance from 35 cm to 40 cm. It comes in super cute packaging that is ready to be given as a gift.

#5 Pack N Play Placard Sheets

This crib sheet set from Ziggy Baby is made from 100% jersey knit and so soft and cuddly. Since they are jersey knit, they are lightweight and breathable as well. The sheets fit a standard play-yard mat or mattress up to 4 inches. They have deep 5" pockets for a secure fit (the official measurements are 24 x 38 x 5 inches). You get two sheets with your purchase so you have a back up when one is dirty. If one does get dirty (baby accidents do happen), they are machine washable so clean up is simple. They are gender neutral in grey and white and come in cute polka dot and chevron designs. In my opinion, they are simple yet stylish. The Ziggy Baby company offers a fabulous satisfaction guarantee if you aren't satisfied with your purchase (but I am sure you will be) and I love a company that gives great customer support. #ziggybaby

#6 The BEST Baby Sling Carrier

This baby sling carrier can be worn on both the front and back (as baby gets bigger - up to 35 lbs). It has a cute floral embroidered pattern on the front that is stylish and unisex pattern. It has padded straps similar to a backpack that makes it comfortable to wear. It is made of cotton so it is machine washable and cozy for baby to sit in it. It is extremely stable when baby is inside when it is tied around. Baby-wearing is super important for bonding with baby and parent.

GIFT IDEAS 2015

Christmas is approaching fast. For all of you who still have shopping to do, here are a few ideas of gifts to give for those hard-to-buy-for people.

For your pet lover friend:
#1 If you know someone who has a dog that sheds like crazy like mine, the Devoted Doggy bucket front seat cover might just be the perfect idea. It is easy to set up, has waterproof quilting to protect from any accidents, and has a non-slip backing to reduce the chance of the cover sliding around under your pet. #devoteddoggy

#2 My dog likes to go for a run at night before bed to get her energy out. The Pet Pal's LED dog collar is fabulous. The fit is comfortable around Day-Z's neck (adjustable fits between 40cm/16 in to 60cm/23 inches) and the color is bright (3 settings: steady on, slow flash, and fast flash). It has a long lasting battery life (up to 45 hours of constant usage with low cost R2032 battery. When it is time to replace the battery, it is super easy - you just need a coin or a key. #petlover

#3 This wasn't an issue at my house until Hershey arrived. For those with big barkers, the Superior Bark Collar is a great investment. Don't worry, it is humane and still effective to use. This collar has 7 levels of sensitivity, is rechargeable, and adjustable for small to large dogs. It offers a progressively increasing warning sounds and give a harmless static stimulus when your doggie woofs. BOTH sound and vibration triggers the collar so it does not give false readings like other collars. #SuperiorBarkCollar

Ahem, for your outdoorsy friend:
I have recently found a new love for camping hammocks. This Heavy Duty Hammock is fabulous. I have a few bigger guys in my family so this is perfect for them because it can hold up to 400 lbs. It is an XL (9'4" by 6'6") lightweight parachute nylon hammock great for backpacking, camping, hiking, or goofing off at home. Your purchase includes a built in drawstring carrying bag, tree ropes, and black steel carabiners making it easy to setup, take down, and store. #XLHammock

For your artsy or super busy work presentation friend:

Whether you like to move around the studio a lot OR are in charge of the presentations at work, the US Art Supply 36" Black Steel Easy-Folding Easel is perfect. It is lightweight (3 lbs), fully collapsible (folds easily to only 15" for storage), easy to set up/take down, and has non slip rubber feet for stability. #usartsupply

For the travel mama (or daddy):

I think this Snug Travel Bed is super cool for those of ya'll on the go with a little one. You can pack this and travel stress-free (ok with less stress). It is a nanny bag that doubles as a baby bed. It weighs a mere 3 lbs and unfolds to 92cm in length and 33cm wide. You just have to unzip, unfold, and you have a simple bed for the babe to catch some zzz's. It has a shoulder strap that you can wear so you have hands to hold the baby. It is lightweight. It is made from soft material and is easy to carry and clean. Most importantly, it is safe and soft for the baby to sleep on it. #BabyTravelBed
