FLU SEASON

I have never had a flu shot. I don't know why. I don't get sick very often. But Fall is upon us and the flu season is in full effect....and it got me. Luckily, I have a comfortable new microfiber sheet set
(hypoallergenic, fade, stain, shrink, and dust mite resistant with deep pockets so they stay put as I get up to blow my nose every 15 minutes),
 a bit of medicine,
and a few shows from the Lifetime Movie Network saved to relieve the symptoms.

STORKS / BABY SHOWER

I was able to see a screening of the movie Storks. Storks is a Warner Bros. Pictures presentation that is going to be released in 2D and 3D in select theaters on 9/23/16.

Storks deliver babies…or at least they used to. They have moved on to delivering other goods, but the Baby Making Machine accidentally gets turned on and one last delivery needs to be made. The animated adventure features voices from well-known talent like Andy Samberg, Kelsey Grammer, Key & Peele, Danny Trejo, and Katie Crown. It is hilarious and you NEED to see it. Find out more about the movie on it's Facebook page. #Storks is Rated PG and will have the whole family laughing.
In spirit of this film hitting theaters this month, and my best friend being super pregnant, we have a baby shower planned. I discovered a cool baby shower kit that makes planning so easy.
It is a cute box that comes with almost everything you need for hosting a shower like
thank you cards,
games, mommy advice card keepsakes/favors, place cards for seating,
and cute, easy to assemble decorations.
All you have to add is some food, a pregnant lady, and friends and family...and then wait for the stork to deliver the cute bundle of joy.

ALISON'S HIP HOP HOORAY PARTY

Alison from The Alison Show throws super fun parties in Utah County. This one had a 90's hip-hop theme and was called Alison's Hip Hop Hooray.
So I grabbed some gal pals, gold hoops/chains, some pretty tacky denim/street gear and we partied like it was 1990-something!
All of Alison's parties include sweet photo opportunities,
amazing swag,
tons of fun,
a throne of awesomeness,
plenty of Alison,
and some great booty shaking!

See you at the next party.

NO TRICKS - Bed Sheet Set

I really don't like April 1st. I am gullible - it's true.
So what is my solution this year? Why not stay in bed?!
I have a new 4 piece (1 flat sheet 102"x90", 1 fitted sheet 80"x60",  and 2 pillowcases 20"x30") silky smooth, brushed microfiber bed sheet set that is so comfy! Why wouldn't I stay in bed.
I am an adult, so I figure I need some good sheets. This set is fade, stain, shrink and wrinkle resistant.  It is ore durable than cotton, hypoallergenic and resistant to dust mites. It isn't, however, resistant to dog hair when my furry friend sneaks under the covers when I'm not looking. But, they are machine washable so we can compromise.

If you don't like the gray, don't worry, the set comes in a handful of different colors. They have a light stripe design that is fabulous. My favorite thing about this set is the company. They offer a 100% LIFETIME GUARANTEE on every purchase.

PS The sheets fit mattresses up to 16" so you can put them on a mattress in your bedroom, guest room, RV, vacation home, or wherever you want. It's always time to buy some new sheets! #Mellanni

SANTA BOOTS

Last year, I tried to get Day-Z to take a photo with Santa Claus. She acted just like a (human) child and was terrified of the guy. What makes Santa so scary? She wouldn't even sit on his lap.
So I got the best idea. I was going to order a Santa Costume and take our own photos. Then I wouldn't be disappointed with a disk full of no good shots that I had to pay a pretty penny to have taken. I checked out the site Wholesale Halloween Costumes. They are awesome because they sell the best selection of costumes for men, women, girls, boys, infants, and dogs at the lowest wholesale prices. You can usually find a discount code to use on their site as well making the total of your purchase amazingly affordable.
Well, I ordered the boots Santa boots thinking she would sit by them and all of the photos would be lovely. The boots came and looked totally legit. They were way better than some I had seen at other costume shops. They had quality fur at the top and fit like a charm to make the Santa scene perfect.
We just needed to insert dog. After all my hard work, it turns out I just have a camera-shy dog who makes awkward faces whenever a camera is in front of her. Maybe I'll try something different next year.
I can't blame the Santa boots for the photo fail. They were fabulous. If you looking for a pair of your own, check out their site. They have costumes and items for every possible holiday and celebration you can plan all year round.

GOOD

Every day may not be good, but there's something good in every day.
Find the good.
I regret not buying the Pooh quote for my bathroom, but this one will certainly go on my wall soon.

LIQUID CHALKERS

When I was younger, I had a dry erase board in my room. I would write things on it I needed to do and my brothers would sneak in and write 'Deanna stinks-(their name) rocks' or something. I thought they were so dumb, but it's a memory I hold dear because I realize it was their way of telling me they cared about me. Nowadays, chalk boards are in. But the mess of chalk is a pain.
These Paper & Twine liquid chalk markers are the best of both worlds. They look like chalk, but write like a pen without the mess. Besides chalk boards, you can use them on mirrors, windows, glass top tables and other similar surfaces.
They are easy to use and clean. You can buy them on Amazon for a fun Christmas present this year if you have a little artist or note writer around the house.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

SELB, Germany

Today, I had both a free car and time so I drove to Germany
to the cutest little porcelain city called Selb.
My first stop was at the Porcelain museum (Porzellanikon Selb).

There are tons of outlets and factories.
Here is the Rosenthal factory with a rainbow painted along the back of it.

Actually, the entire city has things painted,
 decorated,

and super artsy.

And, of course, they use porcelain to decorate.
I had to enjoy a pretzel while I took it all in.
 Then I found this area.

I tried to ask locals what it was and nobody knew.

I tried to go inside, but it was closed.

Thank you for such a charming day, Selb.
