THE CHAINSMOKERS

I am not a big concert goer, but when 4 tickets pop up for you and your friends, I will go, sing, and dance.
Grandtheft and Kiiara opened up the show for The Chainsmokers.
I will be honest and admit I don't know a lot of the songs by the Chainsmokers,
but they sure do put on a good show onstage.
The crowd was wowed with fire, graphics, confetti, and awesome lights.
They didn't let me down.

NATIONAL PRO BBQ TOUR 2017

I had the opportunity to participate in part of the National Pro BBQ Tour presented Sam's Club and The Kansas City Barbeque Society.
The tour made a stop in Salt Lake City, UT this weekend.

Great smells, tastes, and fun were shared by everyone who stopped in.
The winners of this competition will move on to the next round in Las Vegas.

HERE, THERE & EVERYWHERE

Please don't tell me don't you have never heard the name Warren Miller before this post. Whether you pray to the snow gods for fresh pow on your face every morning as you embrace all things snowsports, or you are a beginner skier to hit the slopes, you must see these films. The 67th annual Warren Miller film Here, There & Everywhere (67 means they must be pretty good) is kicking off it's national tour in Salt Lake City, UT, this coming October 14th/15th at Abravanel Hall.
It then moves to my hometown 10/18 -10/20 (and then 5 more places within Utah where we have the greatest snow on Earth). I feel super lucky to have so many show options to attend. Click here for tour dates to see if it is playing in a theater near you.

Check out the official trailer below or go to the Warren Miller Entertainment Youtube page for this and more amazing adventure moments.
Featured Locations in the film include: Squaw Valley, CA • Crested Butte, CO • Deer Valley, UT • Montana • Switzerland • Kicking Horse Mountain Resort • Cordova, AK • Greenland • Boston's Fenway Park • Steamboat Springs, CO.

Perks of attending the show not only include partaking of this amazing film tour you had a taste of above, but attendees also receive 2-for-1 lift ticket to Snowbird, free lift ticket to Solitude & Brighton, 20% off cat skiing at Whisper Ridge, free early/late-season lift ticket to Steamboat, and more swag. DIXIE CHICKS SERIOUS

What do you do when your best gal pal's favorite musicians come to town?
You get a group together who are ready to run to dress up in black and white outfits just like the band.
You go early to save wide open spaces for your party of ten.
Thank you, Dixie Chicks for taking us away to memories from almost 15 years ago.

NEW PLACES AND NEW FACES...in GERMANY

I made a friend in Germany.
He offered to give me a free tour of the city Bayreuth so I took it!
We went to the top of some building for a view of the entire city and found a cute little German graphic design exhibit on the bottom floor.
We walked down the town center to see the famous May Pole
and dinosaur.
We walked through the canal gardens at the new palace. Germany loves their baums!
Next, we went to the Hermitage.
I can't imagine how long it took to get all of these stones put up, but it is seriously so gorgeous to see!
We stayed for the fountain show in the pond.
As we were leaving, I spotted the most adorable little field where people are welcome to come and pick flowers and leaves money in a bin for what they take. So cool. So I had a Mariah Carey moment and danced among the sunflowers!
We then grabbed some food at a Bier Garden.
That's my hefty mug of German water!
The sights were nice, but my favorite moment of the day was probably when we bought pretzels and then sat on this random playground (actually just these two springy animals) to eat.
Ok ok then we had some gummibaren.
Best Pretzel ever!

PRAGUE TOURS

I just nominated myself the best American Prague tour guide of 2015. I've made a few friends and was able to spend a few days showing them around Prague this last week.
We make sure to have the best Czech cuisine.

Then we are off to see my favorite sights like the synagogue by the Prague castle,
 the city spires,
 the Orloj clock
(along with all the tourist peeps for the show at the top of the hour at the clock),
Old Town Square,

(we stop for Czech cinnamon treats called Trdelnik along the way)
for a view of the Prague castle,

 Charles Bridge,

 (locks along the bridge)
(Charles himself)
John Lennon wall,

 Dancing House,
(there is a fab view at the top of the Dancing House)

and then sometimes we wander off and take side streets.
You get me every time, Prague. Every time.

9/11 Artifact in Utah

There are eleven 9,000 lb. pieces of the concrete that was once part of the World Trade Center, and 1 of them arrived in Utah on Friday. It was part of and underground wall that sat under the Twin Towers for 45 years. It has made the trip here thanks to Raette Belcher who is the Executive Director of Utah Fallen Warriors Memorial. The piece has a large price tag of $185,000, of which $35,000 has already been paid. I was able to see the piece today at the Rice Eccles Stadium parking lot before it starts a 20-city tour to earn the remaining $150,000 balance. After the tour, it will stop at it's permanent position in the Fort Douglas Army Museum's Utah Fallen Warriors Memorial.
There was a flag raising ceremony along with live entertainment.

I poster with the names of Utah soldiers who have fallen.

You can walk up to, touch, and take photos with the wall.
There were cookies from the crane service that was there helping out. Also for the young ones, there was a military tank and jeep to climb around.
If you are in Utah and want to see this piece on tour you can check out the schedule here.
There are stops in: Logan, St. George, Cedar City, Richfield, Mt. Pleasant, Park City, camp Williams, West Valley, Lehi, Blanding, Moab, Price, Vernal, Provo, Sandy, and Tooele.
