UTAH HOT SPRINGS

Utah has so many cool hikes and places to discover. So I decided to get and out discover more.
It was time to visit some of the hot springs that are close by.
The first stop was a 2.5 mile hike up to Fifth water hot springs. It is located up Diamond Fork canyon near Spanish Fork. There is a fabulous waterfall that greets you as you reach the pools. The pool closest to the waterfall is the warmest and they get cooler the farther you go from them.
There is a parking lot at the bottom and the trail was pretty busy that day. The pools are big enough that groups of people can wade in them at the same time.
The next spring is Baker Hot Springs in Delta, UT. This one has 3 tubs that are large enough to accommodate several people at once. When we arrived, there was a skinny dipper already in the tub...a risk you take at the hot springs.
Just like the other other Spring, the tubs have different temperatures and cool as they move farther from the source. The scenery around this one is fabulous.
Meadow Hot Springs was next on the list.
My friend Rachel and I went with her daughter Claire during Spring Break. It was super crowded and full of people. This spring gets a lot of visitors.
Meadow has 3 pools to swim in all serrated by short walks. The first one, pictured above, is the deepest and is known to have people dive in it to explore it. This one is the warmest of the three.
The next pool is a little cooler, but your feet can touch the ground in most places.
I didn't get a picture of the third tub. This one has a cute wooden dock with small fish swimming in the water. It is the coolest of the pools.
The final hot spring I visited was Mystic Hot Springs in Monroe, UT. There is an entry fee of $16 for adults. There are other fees for camping per person and attending concerts that may be held there throughout the year.
There are crazy buses and teepees as you drive in to the parking lot. There were almost no other people visiting the day we went because of the overcast weather.
As you walk up to the natural springs, the first spot you see is a giant pool with a small waterfall that can hold a large number of visitors at one time.
As you walk up the hill, there are individual bath tubs you can soak in.
Like I said, we were the only visitors, so we had our own individual tubs, but you can fit more than one person in a tub.
You'll spot 3 right away and if you walk to the right, you can find two more that placed right in the rocks.
These springs are so fun and worth the entry fee, in my opinion.

GET OUTDOORS

It is now officially Fall. I think this is the best time to be outdoors because it isn't too hot and isn't too cold. Yes, it's just right to be outside enjoying nature. Make sure you have good gear to keep you safe AND comfortable as you go out.
I love this Bright Outdoors Picnic Set. It is a slim wallet with utensils, plates, napkins and such for two people. All you have to do is add a blanket, food, and friend. #thebrightoutdoors
If you like to cookout when you go camping, the Stolevar Ultralight Camping Cookware set is awesome. It comes with everything you need to prepare, cook, and eat your meal...and then clean it all up afterwards. #messkit
If you plan on being out for a long time, then you know you need to have sufficient water. You can easily use this Hydration Pack Backpack with 2L Water Bladder. It only weighs 1lb with empty water bladder and 5lbs when full. #ArcticCurrent

#TripWorthy HAMMOCK

I am obsessed with being outside lately to enjoy this wonderful weather we have been having in Utah. My favorite way to enjoy it is relaxing in my camping hammock. They are easy to set up and take down. They come with storage bags attached to them and all the necessary items to hang them. It is made of parachute-grade nylon fabric that will allow you to enjoy it with another person if you want (snuggle time).
I talk them up so much, that I have friends asking to borrow them. Why wouldn't I share? Get outside and enjoy this beautiful world.
If you aren't close enough to me to borrow mine, you buy your own HAMMOCK here.

BACK TO SCHOOL ITEMS

I won't admit how many years it has been since I went to school (ahem), but I will give some tips on things I think are necessary for those of ya'll who are going off to school or have a little one who it off to college. This might not be the usual list of paper, pencils, and trapper keepers other people might post about, but just a few times that I remember really using at that fun time in my life.

1. Colander
If you are a parent, you hope your university student will remember all the times you cooked for them and hope they studied every thing you did. You will want them to grow a garden and wash their vegetables. Most likely, they will be making a lot of mac & cheese (or shells and cheddar in my case). So get them a quality stainless steel colander that will last for several semesters to come instead of cheap plastic that melts the first time they use the dishwasher.  #pckt

2. Sleeping Bag
You never know when a spontaneous road trip might lead to a sleep over. This mummy sleeping bag is super necessary. It is light, easy to carry, simple to pack up, and will keep you both warm and comfortable. #egoz

3. Headlamp
I went hiking, caving, and late night exploring with my roommates and friends all of the time. There were so many times we wished we had a flashlight or way to see if we stayed out after dark. My solution to this is have a handy headlamp in your bag at all times. This one from LuxoLite is fabulous because it has batteries included, adjustable strap to let you go hands free, and different light settings for whatever situation you may be in at the time. #Luxolite

4.  Charcoal Powder

Since I already told you they won't be eating their best, you might want to invest in a Coconut activated charcoal powder by Sagano. You just have to mix it with water (or ice cream and smoothies) to help aid in digestion. This powder can also be used when you brush to whiten teeth, help with burns, and exfoliate your skin. It might look scary, but I promise it is magical stuff.  #saganofresh

5. Wall Art

Don't be the boring person who looks like they just moved in because there are no decorations or wall art. Add some character to your new casa with something like this cool minimalist bear silhouette 11x14 poster. It can be framed or just place against a wall and add simple flair. It is simple and doesn't cost as much as an original Picasso, but it is simply stunning and easy to frame and hang. #InkPrintArt

6. Swissvita Micrite 3D All Use Eye Cream
We all know that students are notorious for pulling all-night study sessions. What is the best solution?   Swissvita eye cream. This serum is additive-free, alcohol-free, sulfate-free, fragrance-free, and paraben-free so you can feel safe using it. It comes in an aluminum sealed package for your protection. You can say goodbye to dark circles and puffiness around your eyes and hello to awesome grades! #SwissVita

SUMMER CAMPING HAMMOCK

What is a girl to do when she has a new camping hammock, dude with great hair, and a friend with a camera at her disposal? PHOTOSHOOT!!
So I am obsessed with this new camping hammock. It is great because it comes with everything needed to set it up and hang in it
(2 steel carabiners, 2 hanging ropes, and an attached storage bag).
Two people can lay in the hammock (up to 450 lbs).
This hammock is made of strong parachute nylon material.
It measures 107" X 55" (or 270 cm x 140 cm).
It is lightweight and perfect for taking on a hike or anywhere you might want to enjoy an adventure.
