Czech Tourist with American Tour Guide...in PRAGUE

I made a new friend named Martina in Prague today. We had 4 hours to kill together. She suggested we go to the cinema or sit in a coffee shop. Instead, I took her on a walking tour of the city to see all of my favorite places (and a few new ones along the way).

CHARLES BRIDGE

Besides the dancing house (click that post...I adore this building for some reason) and the giant clock named Orloj, my next favorite site in Prague is the Charles Bridge (Karlův most). 

I love it from the side

I love it up close

I love it early in the morning

I love it in the evening

I love it late at night

I love it from the top

I love it at both ends

 I love it with a million tourists who won't get out of your photos

I love the worn parts that people touch for good luck

 I love the vendors, musicians, and painters along it

I love the view of the castle in the background

 I love the statues

Oh, Charles (that's him above), thank you for the countless walks.

VIEW FROM MY WINDOW

So what if this is the view from my window in Prague...

Meet Orloj. He was made back in the 1400's and sits in the Old Town Square. He has a clock, a calender, figures that move around 2 small windows and a guy who blows a trumpet at the very top of the tower every hour from 9am to 9pm. Orloj makes me smile.
