HERKIMER DIAMOND

I am totally into necklaces right now.  I like unique things so I was sent a AA Grade herkimer diamond.  Herkimer Diamond Quartz Crystal is an online retail company. They get rough Herkimer diamonds from mines around the globe and then design and manufacture them from their main office is in Bangkok, Thailand. Pretty cool to get a treat from a mine straight to me. Don't worry shipping charges are super low (rates depend on your order value). All of their products are rare, unique, and one of a kind.
You can do it yourself or have them help turn your herkimer diamond into a fantastic piece of custom handmade jewelry. Obviously, I want mine to go into a necklace (like the one above).
They also have a 365 day guarantee on all jewelry purchased through their websiteThis means they will send a replacement stone or diamond free or charge to anywhere in the world if your jewelry loses a stone or diamond.  Uniqueness, good customer service, and awesome prices...3 of my favorite things.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

eShakti - CUSTOMIZE YOUR CLOTHES

Sometimes being tall and thin poses a problem when shopping. I know, you are thinking "Boo-hoo, this girl has real problems." But it's true. Because as you order a smaller size, the length gets smaller which leaves me looking like I'm waiting for a flood or I win the shortest skirt contest at church.
That's why I like to order from eShakti. They have clothing that ranges from size 0-36W (and of course Custom sizes and styles as always). They also provide options to remove/include embroidery, pockets, or other embellishments on their products. That means you can customize your dress - add/remove/adjust sleeves, change up the length, etc.
A new cute Spring line has just been added to their site AND a bridesmaid section. I think this is super cool. You can totally choose a dress and then let the bridesmaids add their own flare to it (like the photo below)
The nice people at eShakti have provided the code DEANNALW47, for my blog readers to get 20% OFF when you shop at eShakti - valid from 02/26/13 thru 03/20/13.

Code has to be entered in the 'Promotional Code' box. No Minimum Order Value. The discount code is not case sensitive. The code can be used any number of times until the validity period. This code can be clubbed with any other gift coupon or gift card in the same order. This discount code is not applicable on our Overstock category. Not applicable on previous purchases.

INTERESTING BOOK TITLES

Dear Aspiring Authors,
Please think and then rethink the title you choose for your future books.

I've been searching libraries, book stores, and various shops for good books lately. In my search, I have found some interesting book titles.
Who wants to head to the kitchen?
From the who cares about collection
(also available Who Cares About Elderly People)
Way more exciting than the house that love built
New edition to the Where's Waldo books
sex education in the children's department?
Was this written during Civil War times?

So, please, think about you title. And then get a second opinion.

SOMEBODY THINKS SHE'S HUMAN

I thought there was a new pooch in the house, but sometimes it seems like somebody thinks she's human.
I wake up to find her on the bed, under the covers, with her head on the pillow.
She likes to sit by for daily hot chocolate and reading of the newspaper.
She's most comfortable sitting like this.

She always calls "shotgun" in the car.
And sometimes I walk into the front room to find we're wearing the same thing.

BIRTHDAYEXPRESS.COM PARTY PACKS

In anticipation of the Super Bowl (and with my fingers totally crossed), I ordered a New England Patriots party pack. Even though they didn't make it (sniff sniff, tear tear, Go Ravens!), I didn't let the pack go to waste. Luckily, my friend Brandon had a birthday coming up and is a big Patriots fan!
So I put on my best team shirt
My mom helped me decorate
Add a little Pizza Hut pizza, breadsticks, 2 Liters of Diet Coke, and some banana cream pie
And through the tears of his team not making it to the big game, Brandon was still able to enjoy his sweet NFL Patriots themed day.

This party pack came from birthdayexpress.com. It includes 8 dinner plates, 14 oz. plastic cups, forks, spoons, knives, 16 napkins, solid color table-cover, football centerpiece, reusable plastic football tray, foil balloon, 12 balloons (2 colors), crepe paper rolls (2 colors), and curling ribbon.
*You might be able to find this pack on clearance now since they lost*
There are tons of other themes for parties for both boys and girls ranging in ages from children to adults. You can find birthday, holiday, special occasion, and solid color themes at the site (and it's super easy to navigate through).
Maybe next year I won't dare be so confident and I'll stick with something more safe that everyone loves like this Angry Birds party pack below:
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

NEW POOCH

I decided to adopt a dog from the Utah Humane Shelter.
She came with the name Dasie, but I decided to change the spelling to Day-Z (it's more thuggish).
She's the sweetest dog - She even smiles in her sleep (and sometimes sleeps with 1 eye partially open which is kinda creepy).
She is a 4 year old Jack Russell (Parson) Terrier.
And I swear she has a paw print on her ear just like her TV cousin Wishbone. Am I the only one who sees it?
Everyone loves the new pooch...except the kitty. He's not impressed (for now).

SNOW SHOVEL

The kitty ran out when I opened the door so I had to chase him. Then I decided to shovel the walkway super quick because the shovel was on the porch. My mom said, "What are you doing?! The kitty is going to get pneumonia!" No worries about me. Love her.
Sure could use a strong man in my life.

RESOLUTIONS

It is a new year and this has lead me to do a lot of thinking. I want this year to be good. So I need to be good. Sounds easy enough, right?! So what do I have to do? Maybe clear some skeletons out of my closet and start new? I don't know how well this will go, but I am hoping it works for me.

#1 I want to apologize:
-because I used to just think bad words when I was upset...now I sometimes say them
-for taking more than "1 per customer" of the free dessert sesame pineapple at the Whistle Wok (mmm...best sesame chicken I've ever had)
-for sometimes not phoning back when I say I will (this one is not on purpose...I'm just bad at that)
-for ever telling my parents a half truth about where I was/what I was doing when I was a teenager (I was never breaking laws or anything-just sometimes hanging out with boys my mom didn't like...and she was right)
-for ever cheating in school throughout the years (even in Chemistry H when I'm sure the teacher knew the entire class copied the same 3 kids)
-for sneaking goodies to the movie theater (although I most likely will do this one again)
-for sometimes being too awesome at Boggle that I never gave my opponents a chance at winning
-for asking my mom if she needed help and silently repeating "please say no. please say no." in my head
-to all patrons who ever ate the same restaurant at the same time as me and my DA group of friends (we get kinda rowdy)

#2 I need to work on:
-being more kind
-not wanting to reprimand people who don't say please, thank you, or excuse me
-listening better
-taking shorter showers
-being more consistent with my exercise routine (or maybe actually starting one)
-eating less junk food
-not being a lazy blogger girl
-being a better real life friend

#3 I want to be:
-nicer
-more honest
-more understanding
-better at keeping my room clean

I think that's enough for now. Done and done. Happy new year to you and me!
xo
