CRUISING DAYS 4 & 5: COZUMELt my heart

Day 4 was a day at sea, meaning we spent it on the ship going down water slides, laying on the deck under the sun, eating food, watching shows, and sharing a room with snorers (ugh).

Day 5 was our first stop at a port in Cozumel Mexico. Sadly, we got off the boat a little too late and missed the ferry to the Yucatan Peninsula.

Luckily, we were able to take a taxi around the island to explore some Mayan ruins. At first, we were being eaten alive by mosquitoes when, out of nowhere, the fertility gods smiled upon us with an outpour of rain. No more pesky bugs, but soaking jean shorts equals fair trade to me.

After leaving the ruins, we enjoyed some local mexican dining, bargain shopping, and charging of the gringos for using the public toilets (no me gusta).

lol...kudos on the witty post tittle. Also, I've never in my Mexican life seen such fancy mexican food. I guess they classed it up for the gringos.

And yeah that whole charging for t/p & bathroom use totally sucks.

Seriously! There was a 4 tacos and 1 beer (I'm sure I couldve talked em into horchata) for $5 that I wouldve been happy with. Tacos and churros from a guy with a cart on the street is MY Mexico!
