DreamWork’s TROLLS

I was given the opportunity to view the DreamWork's Trolls movie. It is hilarious! Combine voices of some very talented actors (Anna Kendrick, Zooey Deschanel, James Corden, Gwen Stefani, Russell Brand, and a ton more), an amazing soundtrack including a song from Justin Timberlake, and gangs of hilarious lines and you have a movie that you absolutely MUST see.
I promise the entire family will love this movie and every character in it.
Don't believe me? Watch the official trailer:
Below are some fun printable pages for your kiddies to get excited for the movie to hit theaters November 4th.

NIGHTMARE ON 13TH HAUNTED HOUSE

One thing I hate to love and love to hate about Halloween time is going to haunted houses.
There are some really awesome ones in Utah to visit starting in September to get you in the Halloween spirit.
One that I make sure to visit EVERY year is Nightmare on 13th
The building is located on 13th (1300) South and is super spooky.
Turn out the lights and it is even spookier at night.
Every year, the haunted house changes the theme to really give you a fright.
This year's theme is Phantasms.
There are plenty of characters and decorations to feed on your fears.
There are freaky photo opportunities outside you can take with your cell or camera
or you can have a professional photographer snap a photo of you that you download and share to social media for free. NO PHOTOGRAPHY INSIDE.
Do you have what it takes to make it all the way through? Buy tickets at the door, go to their website to find a coupon and purchase tickets online, or text NIGHTMARE to 31996 to save some cash and get updates on deals/events.

HERE, THERE & EVERYWHERE

Please don't tell me don't you have never heard the name Warren Miller before this post. Whether you pray to the snow gods for fresh pow on your face every morning as you embrace all things snowsports, or you are a beginner skier to hit the slopes, you must see these films. The 67th annual Warren Miller film Here, There & Everywhere (67 means they must be pretty good) is kicking off it's national tour in Salt Lake City, UT, this coming October 14th/15th at Abravanel Hall.
It then moves to my hometown 10/18 -10/20 (and then 5 more places within Utah where we have the greatest snow on Earth). I feel super lucky to have so many show options to attend. Click here for tour dates to see if it is playing in a theater near you.

Check out the official trailer below or go to the Warren Miller Entertainment Youtube page for this and more amazing adventure moments.
Featured Locations in the film include: Squaw Valley, CA • Crested Butte, CO • Deer Valley, UT • Montana • Switzerland • Kicking Horse Mountain Resort • Cordova, AK • Greenland • Boston's Fenway Park • Steamboat Springs, CO.

Perks of attending the show not only include partaking of this amazing film tour you had a taste of above, but attendees also receive 2-for-1 lift ticket to Snowbird, free lift ticket to Solitude & Brighton, 20% off cat skiing at Whisper Ridge, free early/late-season lift ticket to Steamboat, and more swag. Don't believe me? You find complete offer details at warrenmiller.com and be sure to follow on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.

See you on the slopes!

THIRST

I feel like I've been a blog sell out lately. I apologize to anybody who might still read and follow me. I don't share lots of personal feelings here, but let's get personal. Truth: I'm tired of the saying that life gives us lemons and we need to take those and make lemonade. I don't want anymore lemonade (I'm totaling referencing this post here). It's not even lemon season anymore. Instead let's say when life gives you mountains, put on your hydration pack and start hiking.
The #Riskbek hydration backpack will keep you happy for a 2 liter trip, carry important stuff, and detach a belt for smaller trips.  But what about a long trek...what about a 2 year trek that life throws your way? You might run out of water and not have a spout to refill it.

Life isn't always easy. There can be heartbreaks and crazy paths along the way and no matter how optimistic you are or how happy you fake being, it doesn't always get better when we want it to get better. I honestly feel the loneliest I have ever felt in my life. I don't understand it because I used to be the girl who had no problem taking a bus/plane/drive to a foreign country where I didn't speak the language all by myself. I had so much confidence. I could take a joke. I wasn't afraid to be alone. I was always the friend who reached out to others first and it didn't matter if they reached back.
But something has changed. I don't want to go solo. I need to be the friend who has someone reach out to me. If I do send a message to someone, I need a reply. I need to be given hugs. I need someone to take my hand when I extend mine to them. I need a random text or call during the day to let me know you're thinking about me. I kinda just need reassurance. I don't know what caused this, but I feel like I should share because I assume I'm not the only one who has ever felt this way.

I don't have a magical answer...or else I wouldn't be writing this post. I don't know how to act. I don't know what to say. I do know that I have a handful of people (I can literally count the number of people on my hands) who have been amazing friends and loved me during my lame moments. I just want to write and say I appreciate them more than they will ever know. My only advice is to be a friend to others...even when it is hard. We never know when others might need that extra push or kindness. I don't need freaking lemonade; just help me stay hydrated at my most thirsty moments.
I appreciate you.
